Year after year we have the same childrens birthday parties, so we wanted something different for a change. I hired a party planner and explained my dilemma. She suggested a picnic. I could not believe I have never thought of it before. We grouped 4 kids together and got a picnic basket with yummy treats to eat, and a blanket to sit on for each group. We hosted the picnic party in the park. This meant, as always where children are concerned, safety came first. We asked some of the parents to join to help keep an eye on everyone. The party planner had Frisbees and balls to keep the kids entertained. They loved running around in the fresh air. We sat close to the jungle gym and sandbox, so when they got a bit tired of the Frisbees and ball play, they would have an alternative. As a special treat we brought bread along to feed the ducks. Each child received a Frisbee to take home.

The Singamajigs Duets barely made our top toys christmas 2011 list. The Singamajigs Duets are essentially a remake of last year’s wildly popular Singamajigs. There is nothing innovative about them. They have made some improvements here and there. Singamajigs are toys that sing when you push their bellies. People really loved them last year. They each can sing their own song. However, the sheer brilliance of the toy is only apparent in harmony mode. In harmony mode, the Singamajigs can sing together. It is a lot of fun to play more than one together. So Fisher Price has taken the best mode of the Singamajigs and made it the primary mode with the Singamajigs Duets. Each of the modes on the SIngamajigs duets is a duet. There are now two Singamajigs that are attached to each other. You cannot separate them. They are one. Right now there are only two different types.
